Recipients: Thomas Edwin Ashworth and an unidentified recipient. (1) Recipient's identity is uncertain; letter is addressed "Dear Sir." The letter refers to Professor J. Estlin Carpenter of Manchester College, Oxford and his knowledge of foreign faiths. He also mentions Mr. Wheatley's translation of G.A. Gumlich's Christian creeds and confessions.
